The department of telecommunication engineering, located within the campus of RVCE, sits on a site which had a large tree and is at the junction of 2 axes that define most of the buildings on campus. The design of the new building is defined by how it responds to these significant features of the site. The main building is designed as an archway over the large tree creating an atrium which is abuzz with activity- vertical circulation, interaction spaces and bridges connecting the second block, all come together in this dynamic space.

I worked very closely with the structural consultants to develop bespoke design details for structural column capital- which is a repetitive and striking design feature in the building.
