The client envisioned a charming, earthy wedding venue on his lush farm—a simple yet soulful backdrop for a traditional Indian wedding. Inspired by the setting and brief, the design blends vernacular principles with modern materials to create a surreal space. Due to budget constraints and the climate, we opted for an open pavilion instead of an enclosed structure. After exploring various layouts, I developed a plan inspired by traditional South Indian temple architecture, featuring an elegant exposed structural system with subtle details, local materials, and bespoke lighting.
